Social dining at Jalsa
At Jalsa, social dining is about gathering round the table and sharing the food, rather than each person having only their own dish in front of them. We’ve put together our menu so that many of the dishes are ideal for sharing, from curries and tandoori dishes to naan bread and side dishes. This way, as a group, you can choose several dishes to share at the table and sample your way through the menu together, rather than each person only experiencing one dish. This makes for a more relaxed evening, where the food becomes part of the social experience, and where you can discover together the flavour combinations you like best.
Set menus for 2, 4 and 6 people
If you’d rather not put the evening together yourselves, we have three set menus. Jugalbandhi Delights for 2 people costs 498 kr., Mehfil Feast for 4 people 998 kr. and Shaandar Jalsa for 6 people 1,498 kr. All three include a starter, Butter Chicken or Paneer Butter Masala, basmati rice, naan and mango lassi, so there’s also a vegetarian main course on the table.

An evening with a great atmosphere in Randers
We’re based at Storegade 13 in the heart of Randers, in the historic setting of Niels Ebbesens Hus. The restaurant has three dining rooms with space for around 100 guests, so a larger party can sit together, and during the summer months we can seat around 50 on the terrace. The name Jalsa means ‘celebration’ and ‘joy’, and that is the atmosphere we want to create at the table when you share your meal.
