What is social dining at Jalsa?
Social dining is all about gathering round the table and sharing a meal, rather than each person having just their own dish in front of them. Our menu features dishes that are perfect for sharing, from curries and tandoori to naan bread, so you can put together an evening that suits your group. It’s a great way to try several of our dishes in one evening, rather than just choosing one, and it also gives you a chance to chat about the food as you work your way through the menu together.
Set menus for 2, 4 and 6 people
If you’d rather not put the evening together yourselves, we have three set menus. Jugalbandhi Delights for 2 people costs 498 kr., Mehfil Feast for 4 people 998 kr. and Shaandar Jalsa for 6 people 1,498 kr. All three include a starter, Butter Chicken or Paneer Butter Masala, basmati rice, naan and mango lassi, so there’s also a vegetarian main course on the table.

We’re based at Ved Stranden 5 in Aalborg, where the setting is perfect for a cosy evening with family, friends or colleagues. Our dishes are prepared from scratch using fresh ingredients, and we ensure that each dish contributes to an overall experience at the table, not just a single meal. The name Jalsa comes from the Indian language and means ‘party’, ‘joy’ and a ‘celebration of life’, and that is exactly the atmosphere we want to create when you gather round the table with us.
